Maiwai is a Kimono that dyed family crests and luckies colourfully.

Originally Maiwai was the meaning of "big catch celebration".But eventually it came to point to the celebration of gifts when extraordinary big fishing. It is like the current bonus.

There were cultures where fishermen wearing a huge celebration that is said to be a fisherman of a great arm was scouted from other shipowners and prayed for a big catch before worsening fishing and went to visit wearing Maiwai.

Characteristic of the Maiwai is vivid color of boldly used primary colors and a symbol of lucky goods. Today, in addition to traditional shochiku plums, cranes and turtles, there are also symbols such as Fenix and Dragon.
